Candles that make everyone smile.

A wedding, a birthday, an anniversary — or a quiet moment when you need warmth the most. When you light a candle that carries someone's heartfelt intention, something shifts. The world feels a little gentler.

ROCA was born from a simple wish: to fill the world with light that makes people smile the moment they open the box. Each candle is made by hand with original colors and designs, crafted to be the one and only light for your most special moments.

The name ROCA combines the first letters of the Japanese word for candle — ROUSOKU — and the English word CANDLE. A bridge between two worlds, just like our work.

The Artist

Satomi Yano

Candle Designer and Founder, ROCA

Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1985. After graduating from university, Satomi worked as an interior coordinator.

In 2008, she taught herself to make candles — and what began as a hobby grew into a deep passion.

Candles she made for her own wedding, shared online, drew the very first orders — and in 2012, ROCA Candle was born.

In 2015 she opened her own atelier in Fukuoka. Today, more than 1,500 customers have received a ROCA candle, and her Japanese-language tutorials have reached students beyond Japan.
